TRAVERTINE NATURALE WITH A DAMASCATO EFFECT - HOW-TO VIDEOS
MFA CLASSIC | MFA PLUS
priming
Prime absorbent (stable) substrate using MFA Classic concentrate diluted 1:3 with water. Apply primer with a wide brush, working it well into the substrate. Priming strengthens the substrate and improves adhesiveness and coverage of further coats.
Prime absorbent (weak) substrates and surfaces of old walls with MFA PLUS diluted max. 1:3 with water. Apply primer with a wide brush, working it well into the substrate. Deeply penetrating and binding the substrate, priming strengthens it, reduces excessive absorbency, and improves the coverage of further coats.

BUCCIATO E
quartz primer
When applied as quartz primer, Bucciato E must be diluted with 30% of water and stirred thoroughly. Apply with a wide brush, according to the direction of the decorative coat to be created. Created quartz coat will increase adhesiveness and facilitate application of further coats.

TRAWERTYN NATURALNY
base coat
Travertino Naturale is a dry product, add approx. 25% of water before use and stir thoroughly. Distribute a base layer of plaster with an INOX trowel, creating a grain–thick layer and smoothing out with a trowel, pressing it flat against the substrate. The work should be performed in stages until the whole surface is covered. After application, leave to dry.

TRAWERTYN NATURALNY
decorative coat
Travertino Naturale is a dry product, add approx. 25% of water before use and stir thoroughly. Apply in horizontal stripes, leaving gaps between layers. Pick out narrow stripes of the compound with a putty knife. Create pits on the edges by pattering a hard brush against the surface. Fill the gaps alternatingly using the Damascato effect, tearing off the compound with another trowel repeatedly. It allows you to create a pattern on the trowel that you can later apply to the substrate to achieve a regular pattern. Change the way you hold the trowel frequently during application to avoid a symmetrical and uniform pattern. Create an effect of multiple layers to fill the next gap, applying compound from the edge of a trowel. Approx. 30 minutes after application (depending on the temperature), smooth out each the plaster with a trowel before it dries. The work should be performed in stages.

LUMICCA INCOLORE
preservation
Lumicca Incolore primes and preserves the substrate. Before commencing work, dilute 1:1, max. 1:1.5 with water and stir thoroughly. Apply with a wide brush and distribute with euromal evenly, according to the direction of previously created pattern. Remove excessive preservative using a cotton cloth, in particular from pits. The work should be performed in stages until the whole surface is covered.

LUMICCA BAZA
emphasising the texture, additional preservation
Transparent Lumicca Base in an appropriate colour can be applied to emphasise the texture of decorative effects. Usually, it is an optional product, selected according to the desired finish. Before commencing work, it must be diluted with 30 – 50% of water and stirred thoroughly. Apply with a paint brush or euromal, removing excessive paint with a cotton cloth. Distribute according to the direction of previously applied pattern. Depending on the desired effect, apply one or more colours to a small area or the whole surface. Lumicca Base provides additional preservation to improve resistance.
